I have always been a 90 miles an hour kind of person that is a broken record saying, "things are bound to slow down soon!" Thank goodness for friends and family that understand I just can't help myself - the second I empty my plate, I fill it right back up to overflowing.
My journey in the health and wellness industry began in traditional healthcare as an occupational therapist. I treated patients all across the age span for varying conditions. I began to realize I had a passion for digging deeper than the symptoms that presented at surface level, and my gut told me I should be working to help people learn habits earlier in life that could prevent many of the things my patients were dealing with. And so, my passion for holistic health, nutrition, and exercise began. I walked away from the healthcare industry and accepted an entry-level position working in the nutrition and supplementation industry. Over the next few years, I worked my way up to a top educator and onboarding specialist position within the company and amidst climbing the corporate ladder, life started happening.
My husband, Dylan, and I were married in 2021. He was my love at first sight - cliche, I know! By the time I met him, I had a clear picture of what I wanted and we immediately clicked. To date, he's still the best decision I have ever made...I think I'll still feel that way when I get to the grave! We have two beautiful children (under two years old!) and life is chaos in all of the best ways.
After I had our son, our oldest, my perspective of my corporate job shifted drastically. I knew two things for certain - 1) nothing about my schedule or the expectations placed on me was going to allow me to be the kind of mom I wanted to be and 2) I suddenly felt a passion for all things health and wellness, and especially when it came to helping moms find joy in the journey by becoming their best, healthiest selves. So, after months of trying to ignore the path God clearly was nudging me toward, I walked away from my 6-figure salary and started Moms Working Overtime + Overtime Nutrition and Fitness.
As a coach, I am most passionate about helping busy women achieve a lifestyle that they can sustain for good. No more yo-yo dieting, quick fixes, or industry scams. I focus heavily on education in my coaching and believe you should understand the "why" behind every single facet of your program. I am also super passionate about helping women pre- and postpartum. Strength training throughout pregnancy, using appropriate nutrition strategies, adequately preparing your body for delivery, and recovering properly are all key for us as moms. Creating, birthing, and raising small humans is no easy feat, and I love ensuring women are doing everything possible to take care of themselves through the process.
My favorite style of training is traditional strength training. I will teach you to improve your mind-muscle connection to maximize on the benefits of progressively overloading and driving amazing results. I also love to harp on the never-ending benefits of simply walking.
