Coach Sara has been an athlete since the age of three, competing in any sport she could get her hands on. Her greatest loves were softball and track. Sara has also always been an avid runner. She began attending group fitness classes in college and was hooked!
Sara and her husband, Mark, have been married for 17 years and have two amazing sons, ages 16 and 13. Both boys are extremely active with soccer, basketball, and volleyball, in addition to hunting and doing all things outdoors. They also have the sweetest fur baby, Duke! Sara and her family spend tons of time traveling to sporting events and cheering on their boys! They also spend their time taking hikes and enjoying the outdoors together. She stays pretty busy, to say the least!
Sara has also been a nurse for 18 years. She spent the first half of her career as an ICU nurse caring for the sickest patients. She then moved to a cardiac rehab program before moving into management for 7 years and obtaining her Master’s in Healthcare Management.
Sara is the best of both worlds. She has always had a strong passion for runners and connecting with others who love hitting the pavement while taking in the sunshine and fresh air. But after experiencing an injury and being forced to give up running as her primary form of exercise, she found another love in strength training. She loves to get in a good sweat using high intensity workouts. She is great about challenging clients to push themselves.
Sara is a devoted mother above all things. Her boys and husband come first and she knows what it’s like to have to “make” time for yourself. She can completely relate to the chaos that comes with a busy life. Her upbeat and positive attitude is contagious and will put a smile on your face every time you interact! She will breathe life into you and lift you up when you are down. As a coach, Sara's style is encouraging and optimistic. She loves Jesus and her faith is strong. She will truly help you become the strongest version of yourself - and we're not just talking about food and fitness.
